Experience across strategy, organizations and execution
I work with leadership teams on strategic and organizational questions, bringing knowledge of the organization into how the strategy is shaped and carried out.
I bring business analysis and organizational understanding to the same questions. What needs to be achieved, what does that require of the work, and how do the conditions around people support or obstruct it?
I have more than 20 years of consulting and management experience in strategy execution, transformation and organizational development, including work across functions and countries. My academic background is in psychology and financial economics.

My work
What does the strategy require of the business?
I examine what the business needs to deliver for its customers, how that contributes to its financial objectives, and what this requires of its processes, skills, knowledge and systems.
My work includes defining and developing strategic capabilities. It also addresses the organization, governance, incentives and responsibilities that shape how work gets done. The emphasis depends on the situation and on my assessment of what affects the intended results.
I work with the people involved to examine competing explanations, assess their significance and determine what needs to change.
I also work with leaders in individual advisory and coaching conversations. These provide space to think aloud, examine assumptions and reflect on how you respond to the demands of your role. The work concerns both the situation and your own part in it.

Consulting and management experience
My experience spans strategy, financial performance and the organization of work across industries and functions, in international organizations. I have worked in both advisory and management roles, with particular emphasis on the relationships between business requirements, people, technology and operations.
This experience informs how I assess what a strategy requires in practice, including how resources, responsibilities and work need to be coordinated across the business.
Academic foundation
Psychology and financial economics
I hold a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Gothenburg, with a focus on scientific method and experimental psychology. This training informs how I frame questions, assess evidence and examine explanations of what is happening in an organization.
I also hold a Master of Science in Financial Economics from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. This provides a basis for examining the financial reasoning behind strategic requirements and the assumptions connecting proposed changes to results.
In 2009, I was a Visiting Scholar at the Wharton School’s Center for Human Resources.
